Reporting to: Head Bus Driver
Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Head Bus Driver, the Bus Driver drives planned routes on a schedule for the school.
Key Deliverables and Expectations:
- Drive school buses to take children to and from school or on field trips
- Make sure that children are safe when boarding and leaving the bus, including crossing the street while the bus is stopped
- Keep control of what children are doing during travel to ensure safety
- May drive adults on chartered trips outside of school hours
- Perform other related duties as requested.
Experience and Attributes:
- Valid BC Class 4 Driver’s License, a clean Driver’s Abstract, and a reliable vehicle.
- May need a Class 2 driver’s license with airbrake endorsement,
- 1 to 5 years of driving experience
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams.
- Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritizes assignments, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Motivated self-starter and with strong interpersonal skills.
- Highly professional in all aspects of business, presentation and interaction with all stakeholders, clients, and Members.
- Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check, including the vulnerable sector.
