Part Time Shift Available:

7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. |  Weekends

The LPN Staff Nurse position is responsible for the provision and monitoring of high-quality nursing care within scope of practice which includes passing medications to residents, coordinating care with physicians and families while supervising assisted living and/or memory care staff. Provides resident care services with kindness and compassion to the Residents. Must desire to work with seniors and have a tolerance for behaviors associated with dementia and other aging processes.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer Medications and Treatments within the State and Federal guidelines of Nurse Licensure and Scope of Practice.
  • Assures that all required medications are ordered in a timely manner and audits medication carts and narcotics frequently.
  • Communicate with physicians, other medical professionals, and/or responsible parties regarding residents’ medications, treatments, and/or needs.
  • Assist residents with identified needs as outlined in the nursing/service plan.
  • Respond to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention/follow-up.
  • Assists with orientation of new staff to job responsibilities as needed.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transfer, mobility and incontinence care when needed.
  • Implements and contributes to the evaluation of the resident’s response to the current nursing/service plan of care at the direction of the Clinical Supervisor or designated RN.
  • Verifies Evaluations Service plans are current and accurate as needed. Notifies Clinical Supervisor or designated RN of discrepancies.
  • Assists with data collection for all incident reports and inputs reports as they occur.
  • Implements and contributes to the evaluation of the residents’ response to the medication or treatment plan authorized by the directing physician.
  • Observes changes in resident status, needs or preferences and documents and reports appropriately. Contributes observations and health information to the nursing assessment and reports all data to the Clinical Supervisor or designated RN.
  • Adheres to all established policies and procedures and Employee Handbook.
  • Direct unlicensed nursing staff on shift in following the service plans and policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid LPN license in Arkansas
  • Attend all in-services as required.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • CPR certified
  • Computer skills with EHR proficiency preferred

Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.
