Assistant Director of Nursing at Sanctuary Pointe Nursing & Rehab
The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for assisting the
Director of Nursing with the daily operational management of the Nursing
Department and the quality of all on site nursing care rendered to the
residents of the facility. This includes but is not limited to planning,
organizing, leading, directing, and controlling the activities of
nursing personnel in order to provide optimal resident care as
economically as possible.
Dimension:
Position is responsible
for all full and part-time nursing staff to include all clinical
supervisors and nursing positions reporting directly to the Director of
Nursing.
Nature and Scope of Essential Criteria:
Communications:
Responsible for communicating in a positive manner with residents,
their families and visitors, in the resolution of problems or concerns.
Responsible for communicating clear expectations for the highest quality
of care to the nursing staff. Responsible for communicating information
with the administration, department heads, and medical staff to
facilitate a smooth flow of total resident care.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
License: Must have a current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
Experience:
Must have 2 years previous ADON experience in a long-term care
facility. Good knowledge of Licensure and Certification rules and
regulations. Knowledge of CMS Quality Assurance & Performance
Improvement (QAPI) programs.Must be in good general health, free of communicable diseases and emotionally stable.Visual
acuity to read reports and to start IV. Ability to hear, with or
without use of prosthetics, soft spoken words of residents, intercom and
alarms. Physical dexterity to start IV. Ability to sit, stand, walk,
bend, lift, and move intermittently. Ability to climb and descend
stairs, use elevator, and assist residents.
Working Conditions: Works
under the supervision of the Director of Nursing/Administrator. May be
subject to hostile, aggressive, and emotionally upset employees,
residents and visitors. Subject to possible exposure to infectious
waste, disease or condition.
