Our staff is anchored by a multicultural primary care team that serves alongside roughly 300 volunteer interpreters, doctors, nurses, and other licensed medical specialists each year to provide comprehensive health care to Nashville’s most vulnerable.

What You'll Do
The Development & Events Manager furthers the mission of Siloam Health by serving in a key role with the organization’s development team. This role has an emphasis on budget management, mid-level donor cultivation, acquisition, renewal and stewardship and special events. The person who will enjoy this role will be energized by working on a team and bringing organization to complex fundraising initiatives, establishing systems and improving processes to increase efficiency, drawn to rhythms and structures, and is energized by working with a team to pursue aggressive fundraising goals.
The Development & Events Manager contributes to Siloam Health’s mission by strategically cultivating relationships with present and prospective donors and is also responsible for:
- Budget development and management of specific areas of the budget
- Work with the Chief Development Officer to provide leadership to Siloam’s contributed revenue growth efforts especially in the areas of individual donors, events and corporate sponsorship
- Serve as Event Manager for Siloam’s two annual fundraising events
- Lead a group of volunteer committee members in the planning of events
- Oversee monthly donors, known as GLOCALS, and lead overall strategy on cultivation growth and stewardship of this group
- Support the Director of Communications and Engagement with strategy around fundraising appeals and campaigns
- Manage a portfolio of 75-100 donors and make direct, face-to-face solicitations
- Implement donor-centric stewardship activity in accordance with Siloam’s Stewardship plan.
- Represent Siloam Health in various external and public settings with the objective of mission awareness, networking and donor prospecting
- Along with the Chief Development Officer and Development Coordinator, responsible for facilitating tour requests and tour training
- Staff Liaison for the Board of Directors Development Committee
Who We Are Looking For
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Qualifications
- Passionate about Christian ministry to the underserved and in full agreement with Siloam’s mission and core values
- Willingness to serve persons with limited access to healthcare and who are from different cultures and faith beliefs
- Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office products
- Adherence to OSHA and confidentiality requirements
- Ability to work well in a team setting
