Francophone Mobility Housekeeper (available to Temporary Foreign Workers Only)

This is a remote role Full-time $17.00-$19.00/hour

Housekeeping Attendant

Housekeeping Attendants clean lobbies, hallways, offices and rooms located at remote camps.  

This group performs some or all of the following duties:
  • Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
  • Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
  • Make beds, change sheets and distribute clean towels and toiletries
  • Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies
  • Stock linen closets and other supplies' areas
  • Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
  • Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers and elevators
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other hospital areas
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers
  • Wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Report and store lost and found items
  • May provide basic information on facilities
  • May handle complaints.

Employment Requirements

  • Some completion of secondary school is usually required.
  • On the job training provided
  • STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) Certification an asset
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English. 
  • Must have proof of minimum CLB Level 7 French Language Proficiency
  • Must have valid passport with minimum of 2 years before expiry date.
  • Must be able to comply with eligibility requirements to apply for a work permit including but not limited to the following:
    • Be able to provide proof that you will leave Canada when your work permit expires.
    • show that you have enough money to take care of yourself and your family members during your stay in Canada and to return home.
    • obey the law and have no record of criminal activity (you may be asked to provide a police clearance certificate)
    • Not be a danger to Canada's security.
    • be in good health and have a medical exam.
  • Must be able to meet the physical and mental requirements of the job.
  • Must be able to complete mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol clearance.
  • Successful candidates are encouraged to purchase private health insurance for travel prior to commencing work.
