About the opportunity:

SmartLinx is a rapidly expanding Human Capital Management SaaS company looking for a talented and passionate UX Designer. The UX Designer will partner with Product Managers, Development teams, business stakeholders and clients to create enjoyable, effortless experiences for our clients and their users. You'll shape our product experiences by understanding our users' needs and translating them into intuitive designs, validating them frequently during their path from concept to production and beyond.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Design, document and validate new experiences via mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other UX artifacts for our cloud-based applications
•    Work as an embedded member of a cross-functional agile product development team, collaborating with Product Managers, Developers, and business stakeholders to create solutions and solve user challenges based on research
•    Establish user personas and create journey maps
•    Create conceptual designs, communicate, and work with Product and Development team to incorporate into the product development cycle
•    Conduct user research including client focus groups and usability testing with end users
•    Advocate for the user and evangelize user experience throughout the organization
•    Bring awareness of design trends in general and related to our market and be the advocate for implementing them throughout the product suite

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•    3+ years of design experience
o    Strong portfolio of design work in B2B or B2C
o    Experience with InVision or Adobe XD
o    Able to facilitate human centered design processes, persona creation and journey mapping
o    Understand the complexity of designing interfaces with multi-step processes
o    Have knowledge of WCAG and other web standards
o    UX disciplines of visual design, interaction design and user research
o    Agile Software Development
•    Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
•    Bachelor’s Degree in UX, related area of study or equivalent work experience
•    Aptitude for performing and synthesizing research
•    Excellent communication skills with a proven track record presenting designs and articulating design decisions to both cross-functional teams and stakeholders
•    Proficiency in leading design software tools
•    Strong ownership, bias to action, and know-how to succeed in ambiguity
