Property Accountant

Getting the Job Done:
· Provide all property team members with professional, efficient, courteous and genuine hospitality
· Maintain open and professional communication with other department heads and supervisors to ensure the needs of the property and team members are addressed timely.
· Assist the GM during the annual budgeting process and monthly with forecasting and P&L management.
· Ensure cash deposits and made timely and in accordance with policy.
· Follow up on all past due AR accounts.
· Ensure timely and accurate payment and coding of all AP invoices.
· Fully understand the accounting software and be a support resource for the property.
· Close the month timely and accurately informing the GM of all open accounts and accruals.
· Work directly with the President, Corporate Accountants and VP of Operations to ensure accurate income statements are prepared by the 15th of each month.
· Prepare journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations and accurate coding of all invoices.
· Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems ensuring quick access to information.
· Assist the property with all accounting related activities and ensuring accuracy.
· Support the property with resolving all AR/AP and other accounting related issues.
· Ensure compliance to all best practice operating policies and procedures in accordance with property specific and Brand standards.
Experience for Success:
· BA in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
· 2 years of supervisory experience preferably in hospitality
· Knowledge of state and federal tax laws
· Strong computer skills; especially Excel
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
