Job Summary:

As Sr. Program Program, you will have primary responsibility for the successful delivery of daily programming and activities for adult patients with substance use disorders. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and oversee daily life of all the patients within one or more levels of care. You will ensure that all aspects of our patients’ schedule function safely and efficiently, and comply with all applicable legal, ethical, and regulatory standards. 


The ideal candidate for this position has proven experience in a similar leadership role, outstanding organizational and communication skills, and certification/licensure in addiction or mental health treatment. 


Priority responsibilities include:


Develop and supervise a team of counselors, case managers, and recovery coach technicians

  • Work with the People Team to recruit, hire, and train a team of full-time and per diem staff to meet established staffing ratios

  • Maintain and adjust a staffing schedule that addresses fluctuations in census

  • Conduct biweekly supervision with direct reports

  • Provide opportunities for professional growth and development

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, positive energy, and compassionate support for patients, peers, and oneself


Review, improve, and manage practices to advance: 

  • Standards of care

  • Safety

  • Documentation

  • Measurable positive outcomes

  • Efficiency and workflow

  • Patient and staff satisfaction

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory standards

  • Training and competency checks

Collaborate with other departments, teams and stakeholders, including:

  • Treatment teams 

  • Utilization review team and insurance companies 

  • Campus- and Senior-Leadership Teams

  • Business development teams

  • Medical Director, Medical and Psychiatric Providers

  • Nursing Department

  • Patient families

  • Maintain department budget and manage expenses


Other duties as assigned



  • Masters degree
  • Licensed Clinician: Psy., PhD, LICSW or LMHC 

  • Minimum of 3-years experience in addiction treatment (leadership experience preferred)

  • Understanding of the disease model of addiction and evidence based treatment

  • Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards 

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; judgement; and decision-making ability

  • Familiarity with ASAM Dimensions and level of care criteria

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements: 


  • Ability to use hands and fingers, talk or hear

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk and reach continually. Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently

  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Close vision required to see computer monitor, read documents, and operate copy and fax machine

  • Work environment is indoors and climate controlled. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions
