Cassena Care , LLC, a health care consulting entity with headquarters in Woodbury Long Island is seeking a Regional Director of Nursing Services for New York Regions. The Regional Director of Nursing Services will be responsible to oversee and coordinate clinical nursing practices in multiple short term rehabilitation/long term care facilities, located in the New York City area.

The Regional Director of Nursing is responsible for developing and directing the daily operations of Nursing Services Departments to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Regional Director of Nursing carries out the resident care policies and procedures to ensure positive outcomes in assigned facilities

Reviews daily nursing 24 hour reports and communicates daily with the medical staff, nursing services and other department supervisors, as needed.

Completes QAPI audits as assigned to monitor resident care and facility practices. Works closely with the VP of Clinical Services to fulfill Company mission of providing quality care and following established policies and procedures.

RN REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF NURSING SERVICES

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university

BSN REQUIRED

MASTERS degree preferred

CPR certification REQUIRED

Certification in Gerontology preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Three to five years of progressive nursing administration experience as Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Supervisor in long term care/sub acute care facilities in New York with Knowledge of NYS DOH long term care survey process and guidelines.

Ability to form and lead productive teams to accomplish facility and company goals

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in NY

Comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice

Independent decision-maker who works harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel

Communicates effectively with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/ personnel and the general public

Knowledgeable of LTC nursing and medical practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines; seasoned DNS

Leadership ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures necessary for providing quality care

Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and the willingness to handle difficult residents

Willing to seek out new methods and principles and to incorporate them into existing nursing practices

Excellent computer skills and knowledge of EMR
