Position Summary

The Driver (Part-Time) is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services in support of Health Care Partners of South Carolina operations and community-based programs. This position transports staff, supplies, equipment, mobile health units, and pharmaceutical deliveries while ensuring vehicle safety, cleanliness, and compliance with organizational policies.

The Driver may support multiple Health Care Partners locations, including Conway, Singleton Ridge, Johnsonville, Brittons Neck, and Marion, and serves as a representative of the organization through professional customer service and safe transportation practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Operates Health Care Partners vehicles in a safe and professional manner.

·         Transports employees, supplies, equipment, and organizational resources between Health Care Partners locations and community sites.

·         Assists with transportation and support of mobile health units and community outreach operations.

·         Provides pharmaceutical deliveries to patients and Health Care Partners locations in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

·         Delivers medical supplies, office supplies, equipment, and other materials as assigned.

·         Conducts daily vehicle inspections and reports maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

·         Maintains vehicle cleanliness and ensures vehicles remain in safe operating condition.

·         Coordinates routine fueling, servicing, and maintenance activities as directed.

·         Completes vehicle logs, mileage reports, delivery documentation, and other required records accurately and timely.

·         Assists with loading and unloading supplies, equipment, and materials.

·         Travels between Conway, Singleton Ridge, Johnsonville, Brittons Neck, Marion, and other assigned locations as needed.

·         Maintains confidentiality and protects patient information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

·         High School Diploma or GED required.

·         Minimum of one (1) year of professional driving, transportation, delivery, courier, customer service, or related experience preferred.

·         Experience operating company vehicles, mobile units, or delivery vehicles preferred.

·         Experience working in a healthcare, community health center, or Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment preferred.

·         Valid South Carolina driver's license required.

·         Must be at least 21 years of age.

·         Must have a minimum of three (3) years of licensed driving experience.

·         Acceptable motor vehicle record required.

·         Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Physical Requirements

·         Ability to sit and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time.

·         Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday.

·         Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.

·         Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

·         Ability to travel regularly between Health Care Partners locations and community sites.
