We are currently seeking a dedicated professional Project Manager (PM) with a proven track record of success to join our team. This position supports the Program Executive Office, Defense Healthcare Management Systems (PEO DHMS). The goal of PEO DHMS is to improve the health care of active duty military, Veterans, and their beneficiaries. This exciting program is modernizing the Military Health System (MHS) Electronic Health Records (EHR) and establishing medical sharing between the Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the private sector.
The PM will be responsible for the coordination and completion of DoD acquisition projects. They will oversee all aspects of assigned acquisition projects, sets deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress. The PM will author and ensure the timely completion of acquisition program documentation. They will be responsible for assembling documentation in collaboration with the procurement team, to include; Memorandums for Record (MFR), Procurement Requisition MFR (PR MFR), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Justification and Approval (J&A) documents. They will also be responsible for analyzing DoD accounting records to determine financial resources required to implement programs and make recommendations for budget allocations to ensure conformance to budgetary limits. They will review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs. The PM will rely on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Master’s degree or equivalent.
At least 10 years of experience managing government budget, finance, and contracts management assignments.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust position with the federal government.
Knowledge of project management principles, federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and defense federal acquisition regulations (DFAR).
Excellent writing and briefing skills using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with military medicine processes and systems.
DAWIA certification (or equivalent courses, ACQ 101) in Acquisition Program Management.
Experience with the Defense Acquisition Guide (DAG), and Agile software delivery approaches.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Military Health System (MHS) knowledge and/or clinical experience.
Contracting Officer Representative (COR) experience.
