Reports to: Katie Dixon, MA, RP Clinical Director Peak Resilience Ontario; Jennifer Hollinshead, MA, RCC, Founder


Location: Virtual for the time being with plans to move to in-person in Kitchener/Waterloo


Hours: Flexible. Some evening and weekend hours 


Job Overview:
 
Peak Resilience is a leading counselling practice specializing in empowering clients to live resilient, authentic and meaningful lives. We practice from an intersectional feminist lens and work with people from all backgrounds and experiences. The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality counselling services and client consultations, be an active member of our amazing team and uphold our mission and values. The Peak Resilience head office is in Vancouver and we are now expanding to the Ontario community. We are currently offering virtual sessions to Ontario clients and plan to open an office in Kitchener/Waterloo this year!
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
·       Providing 50-75 minute counselling sessions. Sessions may take place virtually or in-person (when we have an office)
·       Providing clinical consultation and support to others on the team on an ongoing/as needed basis
·       Keeping up with Peak Resilience emails and Slack team messages
·       Contributing to the development of Peak Resilience digital content: writing blog posts, creating experiential videos, as required (for admin pay: $40.00 an hour)
·       Providing support to Clinical Director and other duties as required
 
Education and Experience:
 
·       Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology or Social Work
·       Registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO)
·       Strong ability to work with a broad range of clinical issues (e.g. anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, life transitions, grief, relationships)
·       An understanding or willingness to learn intersectional feminist therapy principles
·       Willing to do some evening and/or weekend work
·       Lives in Kitchener/Waterloo an asset
