St. James Parish is hiring a Part-Time Recreational Park Custodian under the Operations Department.
JOB FUNCTION: To perform routine manual tasks in
maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions and appearance of St. James
Parish Recreational Parks. This is a
part-time nonexempt position, 20 hours per week. This employee may be required to work
weekends to open and close recreational parks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes any combination of the following
illustrative examples of duties and responsibilities including but not limited
bathrooms and any other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and
and decontaminates trash containers
sidewalks, porches and tiled surfaces

EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education
diploma (GED) and 6 months related experience and/or training.

to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations.
