Job Overview:
Reporting to the Regional General Manager and ownership group, the Marketing Manager plays a dynamic role with Ace and Cash Casinos by leading and developing marketing and communication strategies and executing and supporting the execution of events and promotional activities for all Ace and Cash Casino properties.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversees the service standards of the marketing department to ensure standards are met.
Maintains current knowledge of promotions, events, products, and general information relating to all facets of the business where there is guest interaction.
Produces, communicates, and manages a 12-month promotion and event calendar for entertainment and promotions.
Manages performance of current promotions, providing positive and corrective feedback and areas of improvement. 
Recognizes and organizes the development of business opportunities; builds relationships with key clients, local business, organizations, and their local community leaders.
Implements marketing promotions for the brand; proactively seek opportunities to improve and strengthen Ace and Cash Casinos brand communication.
Acts as the Emcee for special events and announces major promotions and prize giveaways.
Monitors and provides feedback on the player Loyalty Program.
Work with the surrounding hotels to develop a close relationship. 
Responsible for liaising with Winner’s Edge (AGLC governance).
Responsible for music selection and volume to enhance guest’s experience. 
Obtains appropriate approval for marketing initiatives before execution; works with finance to track costs to date and against the approved budget.
Responsible for management entertainment, talent and event bookings.
Responsible for managing small marketing team.
Ensures department initiatives are coordinated with department and casino staff and communicates internally to ensure that the team is knowledgeable of all promotions and events.
Reviewing the results of the online survey and communicate with the perspective departments.  
Travels to the Red Deer property on a bi-weekly basis.  
Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:
3-5 years experience in Marketing, preferably in the hospitality or entertainment industry.
College diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design, or related field. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite (MS Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint).
Experience with managing online marketing campaigns through Google My Business, Facebook, and Instagram advertising platforms is an asset.
Experience with graphic design software and updating website content on WordPress and Drupal based websites is an asset.
Previous experience writing, editing and proofreading advertising content is considered an asset.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to speak English is mandatory. Ability to fluently speak additional languages is an asset. 
Proficient in use of Computers and Microsoft Office programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, organized, with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to strictly adhere to multiple deadlines and work well under pressure to meet organizational goals.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Walk/stand/sit– Must be able to walk/stand/sit throughout much of the shift.
Talk/hear – must be able to detect, determine, identify, observe, inspect, and assess.  This position frequently communicates with guests and employees throughout the entirety of the shift. Must be able to exchange accurate information and professionalism in these situations.  
Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling and/or ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.  
Works in an indoor, fast-paced environment.
Ability to work well under pressure.
