Residential Program Social Worker

Reports To: Director of Residential Programs
Job Description:
Join Liberty Ministries’ Residential Aftercare Program Division working side by side with our male and female residents who were recently released from prison. The Residential Program Social Worker will provide assistance and support to the residents of our Liberty House, Pennsburg House and Ann’s House programs.
The Residential Program Social Worker will be responsible for the following job duties:
Conducts initial assessment of residents’ situation upon program entry to determine needs
Establishes course of action by exploring options and setting goals with clients
Obtains assistance for residents by arranging for appointments and establishing rapport with other agencies
Monitors planned actions by periodic follow-up
Maintains records of case by documenting resident’s situation and actions
Works with probation officers, domestic relations, courts, etc. to advocate for and assist residents in meeting their needs
Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions
Maintains regular communication with the Director of Residential Programs on all residents and their progress, issues, behavior, etc.
Works with Residential Program Advisors to coordinate meetings and transportation
Assists graduating residents to find suitable housing in community
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate degree in Social Work
2 years’ related experience (preferred)
Ability to travel to all three residential facilities
Knowledge of addictions and recovery
Experience working with those incarcerated or formerly incarcerated is preferred
Affirmation of LM Statement of Faith
Education: BSW required, MSW preferred
Schedule: 40 hrs/week
