As a Lead Teacher, you’ll play a key role in shaping young minds while leading a classroom rooted in our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead Teacher, you will:

  • Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans (including Zoo Phonics)
  • Lead and manage a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Supervise children and activities while maintaining proper ratios at all times
  • Build strong relationships with families through communication and conferences
  • Maintain accurate program records and licensing requirements
  • Support and problem-solve staffing needs and daily challenges
  • Ensure safety across all youth spaces, including transportation
  • Participate in family events, staff meetings, and ongoing training
What You Bring
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Experience working with children in a developmental setting (preferred)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment
  • Commitment to continuing education (STARS credits)

Required within 30 days of hire:

  • CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications
  • Alarm/Emergency Procedures training

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs
  • Fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and daily variety
