Senior Credit Analyst
Reports to: Chief Credit Officer
Location: Jim Thorpe, PA

Summary/Objective
Provides analytical support to Loan Officers by completing financial analysis and other documentation required for underwriting and analysis. Responsible for financial review within the existing portfolio as well as the completion of credit maintenance and clerical functions. Provides mentorship and oversight to Credit Analysts.

Essential Functions

  • Provides all pertinent lending decision making information including financial statement analysis, credit reports, account history, collateral valuation, and industry specific information and comparisons as required by the credit request.
  • Completes and prepares loan presentations to Loan Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Assists all Loan Officers through the underwriting process, and works closely with the Small Business Lender relative to the development of the Small Business Loan Portfolio.
  • Prepares customer documents/correspondence including letters of intent and line renewal letters/documents.
  • Performs credit maintenance functions such as assisting in clearing exceptions, collecting and tracking financial statements and maintaining credit files.
  • Performs prospective analysis (cash flow, etc.) on existing loans as necessary for annual reviews and by request.
  • Performs annual renewals of lines of credit and conducts reviews of commercial relationships based on amounts designated in credit policy, less those customers within the portfolio who fall within the top twenty largest per volume exposure.
  • Performs cash flow analysis for residential underwriters, specific to customers that are self-employed.
  • Compiles the delinquency report and OREO account reconciliation monthly.
  • Prepares reports to be presented to the Officers’ Loan Committee and Board of Directors (i.e. new loans; loans in progress; adverse actions, etc.)
  • Tracking of lending policy exceptions and participated loan volume on a quarterly basis.
  • Completion of reports which assist in the year-end audit, specific to interest income and non-accrual loans (for tax purposes).

Required Education And Experience

*Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of credit analyst experience required.
  • Knowledge of Lending regulations required.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements and perform cash flow analysis required.
