Parts Manager
Fort Garry Industries is opening a second branch in Edmonton at 13075 25 St NE , and we have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Manager to join our team at our new Edmonton East location.

What You Will Do:
- Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
- Oversee counter sales operational requirements
- Maintain staffing levels by interviewing, hiring and training employees to meet operational demands.
- Support and lead counter staff through coaching, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with selling parts to customers and building customer relationships
- Oversee and manage warranty claims, returns, back orders and on hold invoices
- Coordinate with inventory team to manage product categories, product lines, SKUs, and stock quantities for the branch and obsolete inventory
- Ensure all counter staff are following FGI policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
- Three years of working experience as a heavy duty parts manager or a similar role in a similar industry; would be considered an asset; combined with demonstrated sales and inventory experience preferred
- Previous experience in heavy-duty parts sales , and high volume customer service in retail, industrial, or wholesale
- MUST BE ABLE to meet the physical requirements: lift parts upwards of 50 lbs, use ladders at varying heights, frequent walking in large warehouse
- Excellent Customer Service skills – dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external customers
- Excellent people management skills such as leadership, team development, interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, and supervisory skills
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems
- Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses would be an asset
- A detailed understanding of Heavy Duty Parts, Heavy Duty Service operations and inventory management an asset
- Parts technician journeyperson certificate an asset
