HR INTERN - PRN - TEMPORARY

Assist the HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The HR Intern’s responsibilities include updating employee absence records, filing HR documents accordingly, initiating background checks on shortlisted candidates, and providing suitable recommendations to improve HR policies. You should also be able to draft employee communications notifying staff of policy and procedural changes. WORK HOURS:  28 hours/week; sometimes more; sometimes less, or as required to provide departmental services as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION - High School Diploma.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE - Previous experience in office administration (HR preferred), word processing, and computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, WordPerfect), preferred; Clerical experience, good people skills, communication and organizational skills.

JOB KNOWLEDGE- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with people of various backgrounds; Must possess the ability to prioritize work and meet required deadlines; Should have a general knowledge clerical office duties (filing, answering phones, greeting customers, posting, etc.)
