Summer Camp Counselor - Mill Creek Elementary School

We’ve got a great opportunity for you! YMCA of Bucks County is searching for Summer Camp Counselors for our 21st Century Program, located at Mill Creek Elementary School. The ideal camp counselor will engage with children in grade levels K-5, in an air-conditioned setting for the Summer. If you are outgoing, responsible, and have great communication skills, we hope that you will join our Y Summer Camp Team.
Starting Rate: $14.00 per hour
Actively participate in activities with campers throughout the day
Listen, share, guide, give encouragement, and care about each camper as an individual
Know all emergency procedures and enforce all safety guidelines
Communicate effectively with teammates
Complete incident reports when necessary and with full support from your supervisor
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED required
2 years previous experience working with children (coaching, babysitting, paid work, volunteering, etc.)
1 year of experience in a formal academic setting
Knowledge of Google Classroom and Google Suites is a plus
Must attend all camp training
Ability to perform First Aid/CPR/AED/Emergency Oxygen (training will be provided)
Days/Hours Needed: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; 7:45am-2:00pm, possible virtual hours Tuesday and Thursday (Camp runs June 21-July 30)
