Job Overview.

A Professional Services Project Manager (PjM) is responsible for leading all aspects of assigned project(s). The PjM is responsible for delivering the contractual scope, on schedule and within budget, while maintaining client satisfaction. The Project Manager is responsible for all direct communication to the client’s organization and any relevant stakeholders throughout the life of the project. The PjM must be capable of creating or adjusting project schedules, adhering to deadlines, building trustworthy relationships with clients, and continuing the SOMA tradition of exceeding customer expectations. 

Job Description/What You Would Do In This Role.

  • Initiates, plans, executes, controls and delivers projects timely.

  • Assembles the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing the schedule to ensure the timely completion of the project.

  • Manage project scope, including project deliverables, timelines, client responsibilities and expectations.

  • Establishes time-lines for each phase of implementation: Kickoff, BPR, Configuration, Conversion, System Review, Training, and Go-Live.

  • Obtains sign-off on the completion of major project milestones.

  • Prepares regular status reports and facilitates status meetings with SOMA team members and clients.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of standard project management processes and best practices.

  • Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

  • Report and escalate issues to the Executive Team as necessary.

  • Lead and drive efficiency by using the tools that help drive Project Management best practices.

  • Must be able/willing to travel to client cites for on-site implementation and upgrades, as needed. 

  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.


  • 3+ years of project management experience is required.

  • Proven experience working with SaaS project management, including all aspects of project initiation, planning, development execution, and delivery is preferred.

  • Project Management Certification preferred.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.

  • Must be able to pass a background check and complete needed security requirements. 

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Ability to comfortably and effectively present to audiences of various sizes.

  • Experience using Google Suite, Slack, Jira and Confluence.
