Terracon Geotechnique Ltd. – an employee owned, western Canada
based company, is looking for a Junior Engineering professionals and
technologists. We are in search of individuals with education and/or experience
in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering and Mining disciplines.

involving geotechnical/civil engineering, QA/QC construction monitoring, site
investigations, foundation inspections, soils and concrete lab testing, for a
variety of clients which range from open pit mining environments to municipal

Earthwork monitoring quality control
Piling monitoring and inspections
Monitoring, documenting, and verify field construction activities
to evaluate compliance with design specifications
Be involved in multi-discipline projects in the areas of
geotechnical design for foundations, retaining & shoring systems, mining
facilities, slope stabilization, roads, and other infrastructures
Preparing technical reports, project scheduling &
resourcing, meeting project deadlines and budgets
Performing geotechnical testing and installations – Slope
Inclinometers (SI), Vibrating Wire Piezometers (VWP)
Data collection for groundwater monitoring, pump testing,
hydraulic conductivity testing, soil sampling, surface water sampling, sediment
sampling, and other environmental field services
Driving in an active mine and interacting with heavy equipment
Communicating verbally using two-way radio system
Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients
Participating in local and remote projects, working up to 12
hours per day/night
Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, or Technology, or an
equivalent combination of education and field experience
Professional designation in good standing with EGBC or ASTTBC
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Must have a valid driver’s license, with clean driver’s abstract
Experience in a technical field-based role is an asset
Civil construction or Engineering industry experience an asset
Experience driving a 4x4 off road and in winter conditions
BSO/CSO, H2S & CCIL certification are considered assets
Preference will be given to those who have previous mining
