POSITION SUMMARY:

Ceremony Coffee is a roaster-retailer with wholesale and retail operations. We have a wholesale line of business, 7 retail locations and internet mail order. The Bookkeeper is an essential role that will conduct day- to-day operational accounting functions to keep the company running smoothly. This primarily includes recording daily sales and payments for all retail locations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. A solid accounting foundation combined with accuracy and critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Record daily sales and payments

  • Manage A/P to ensure timely payment taking advantage of discounts & avoiding late fees.

  • Manage A/R to avoid delinquency, send monthly statements and pursue late pays

  • Manage and reconcile company credit card accounts

  • Manage and reconcile credit card merchant accounts

  • Process inventory transfers between locations

  • Facilitate month end physical inventory counts and adjustment reconciliations

  • Assist with month end closings which may include some analysis


    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of five years of bookkeeping experience

  • Associates degree required; higher level of education preferred

    SKILLS:

  • Competency with Quickbooks accounting system

  • Strong skills with Microsoft Excel and experienced with importing & exporting data

  • Good communicator and comfortable working across organizational departments

  • Very organized, detail oriented and diligent

  • Accuracy a must

  • Must have strong critical thinking skillsĀ
