Install Tech

The Install Shop Tech should be well-knowledgeable about the equipment complexity to conduct troubleshooting for system malfunction. Install Shop Techs are required to install aftermarket truck parts and provide maintenance to ensure that the system functions properly, upgrading, or replacing equipment for improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Evaluates the equipment and work to be done.
• Pre-fitting of parts, modifications or additions made to parts or equipment include cutting mounting holes for hardware, lights, wiring, plumbing, etc.
• Makes necessary mounting brackets, trims parts to fit, bonds parts to the equipment or hardware.
• Adds the necessary plumbing, wiring and circuits to the equipment for lights, valves, solenoids, etc.
• Makes final assembly and installation of completed parts and accessories to the equipment.
• Tests fit and function and adjusts as needed.
• Completes a post-operation checklist once tasks are completed.
• Maintains shop equipment and tools as required.
• Any and all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Abilities:

·                   High school diploma

·                   Previous experience in customer relationships

·                   Strong listening and verbal communication skills

·                   Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer service in a fast-paced environment

·                   Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively by setting priorities.

·                   Have a strong sense of situational awareness to be able to prioritize tasks.

·                    The right person must have their own tools and relatable experience. 

·                   Willingness and desire to learn about the products sold, customer service, policies, and procedures as well as the trucking industry as a whole.

Schedule:

Monday- Friday FT Day Shift 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Occasional overtime due to deadlines
