The position requires excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, along with the ability to support the operations and guest experience at PSSC. This is a full-time position required to work at the property. This position requires non-traditional working hours which includes working nights and weekends and holidays.
Job Summary: 
Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of operations, including opening and closing procedures, facility maintenance, staffing, and scheduling. Ensure the park is ready for operation each day, and all attractions and facilities are in excellent working condition.
Staff Supervision and Training: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of facility staff, including lifeguards, operators, security, and maintenance personnel. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure a well-trained and motivated team.
Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of our guests and staff. Monitor adherence to safety guidelines, conduct regular safety inspections, and coordinate emergency response protocols. Collaborate with direct reports and General Manager to ensure proper training and certification.
Guest Experience Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and improve guest experiences by monitoring feedback, implementing guest service initiatives, and maintaining a welcoming and clean environment. Collaborate with guest services and marketing teams to develop and execute programs and promotions to enhance guest satisfaction and drive repeat visits.
Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of all waterpark facilities, including water attractions, slides, pools, locker rooms, and common areas. Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules are followed. Implement preventive maintenance plans and address maintenance issues promptly.
Budgeting and Resource Management: Assist in developing and managing the operational budget, including expenses, staffing costs, maintenance, P&L statements. Monitor and control inventory levels of supplies, equipment, and concessions. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient resource allocation strategies.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive relationships. Seek opportunities for partnerships or sponsorships to enhance the waterpark experience.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to waterpark operations, safety standards, and employment requirements. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and changes in regulations. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a waterpark, amusement park, or similar entertainment facility. Hospitality experience is a plus.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
In-depth knowledge of waterpark operations, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with facility maintenance, ride operations, and guest services.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and vendors.
Budgeting and financial management skills.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as per operational needs.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
Knowledge of CPR, First Aid, and lifeguarding practices.
Familiarity with water treatment and filtration systems is desirable.
