Emergency Medical Technician- EMT

The Johnson County Ambulance District seeks high-quality, full-time and part-time EMTs to join our team!

Duties:

- Respond to emergency calls and provide efficient and immediate medical care to the critically ill or injured

- Assess patient conditions and perform vital signs monitoring

- Administer basic life support and perform necessary medical interventions

- Safely transport patients to medical facilities for further evaluation and treatment

- Communicate with medical professionals to provide accurate patient information and receive guidance on patient care

- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatments, and responses

Skills:

- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and able to quickly identify critical conditions

- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals

- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting, familiar with medical equipment

- Competent in performing physical examinations and administering injections

- Ability to manage airways and provide respiratory support when necessary

Requirements:

- Missouri Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic license

- Current CPR certification

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations

- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document patient information

- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and maneuver patients as needed
