Meet and Greet
Start Date: end of April 2026
Work Hours: Seasonal, Part-time. 3 days a week, 5.5 hour shifts, 7:00am – 12:30pm
Tuesday to Thursdays OR Wednesdays to Fridays
Location: Street Level at Canada Place
Wages: $18.00 per hour
At Big Bus Tours Vancouver Westcoast Sightseeing, we love welcoming guests from around the world on our tours! We are looking for two Meet & Greets who will warmly greet our guests during daily sightseeing tour pick ups at three locations near Canada Place. Then you will connect them with their Guided Tour Driver. You will be managing guest flow, provide directions, and support smooth tour departures in large crowds in busy downtown Vancouver. This outdoor role requires someone who stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and acts as the eyes and ears for our Operations team.
YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE
- Liaising on street level of Canada Place and two hotels, between our Driver Guides and tour guests who have booked to join of our guided tours
- Checking off guests from passenger manifests ensuring correct tour and hotel pick up
- Coordinating with Tour Operations Dispatch Coordinators and Drivers via radio and phone to ensure smooth operations, and guest safety and satisfaction
- Moving between four locations, ensuring you have met and checked-in all guests for each tour departure time
- Adapting quickly and being flexible with last-minute changes, requests, add-ons, or cancellations
- Efficiently keeping to a schedule, helping ensure an on-time tour departure
- Being warm, friendly, and welcoming to all guests and team members
- Professionally handle guest queries and concerns
WHAT WE WILL LIKE ABOUT YOU
- You have previous experience working in a guest service role
- You have an outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills
- You are adaptable with a professional and positive attitude
- You can work outdoors. This role requires standing and walking outdoors for extended periods of time
- You can work a flexible schedule and are available to work early mornings and can help on weekends and holidays if needed
- You can work well independently and as part of a team
- Previous tourism experience or knowledge in the industry in an asset
- You are a quick learner
- You have working knowledge of radio communications, ie. 10 code system
- You are fluent in English, written and oral. Ability to speak a second language is a bonus.
- You are legally entitled to work in Canada
