ABOUT THE POSITION
The Supervised Access Program Worker monitors and ensures coordination of the supervised visitation and exchange services for the supervised access program. The program worker supervises visits, ensures that the program guidelines are respected, assigns volunteer visit monitors to families, answers questions and concerns from clients and volunteer visit monitors, defuses potential conflicts, reviews observation notes, and collects and records program fees.
ABOUT YOU
You have a Minimum of a High School diploma with some post-secondary courses in the social services field.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Experience working with diverse populations based on (but not limited to) culture, race, socio-economic status, gender identity/gender expression, and sexual orientation.
- Some understanding and knowledge of child custody and access
- Experience and knowledge of child-centered interventions.
- Some knowledge of domestic violence and the grieving associated with family separation and conflict
- Non-violent crisis intervention skills
- Basic first aid is an asset
- Skilled at building rapport with families and children; strong interpersonal skills
- Expertise in problem-solving in a fast-paced service environment
- Skilled at maintaining accurate records
- Bilingual (French and English) is preferred
