Service Manager, Neepawa
AgWest Ltd. is seeking a motivated and experienced Service Manager to lead our shop and field service operations. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction by overseeing daily operations, managing team performance, and ensuring high service standards while supporting overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee daily shop and field service operations, ensuring productivity and efficiency
- Manage workflow, scheduling, and work-in-progress to meet customer timelines
- Review work orders for accuracy, completeness, and proper invoicing (including warranty and customer pay)
- Develop and maintain service processes to optimize performance and consistency
Customer Service Excellence
- Act as the primary contact for service-related inquiries and concerns
- Promote customer satisfaction by ensuring timely, high-quality service delivery
- Resolve complex or sensitive customer issues professionally and effectively
- Collaborate with parts, sales, and other departments to deliver a seamless customer experience
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop service team members to achieve performance goals
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and training
- Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment
- Create work schedules and manage team workload effectively
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Provide direction on financial aspects of service operations, including quotes, warranties, and rework
- Prepare and review quotes, estimates, and invoices
- Monitor departmental performance and implement improvements to drive profitability
Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies
- Investigate and report incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives through team meetings and process evaluations
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5–10 years of experience in the agricultural or heavy equipment industry
- Strong mechanical knowledge across AG, truck, heavy equipment, or lift divisions
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a service environment preferred
