OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
The Program Manager of Northern Light reports directly to the Director of Outreach and Evaluation and is a member of the Agency management team and is responsible overseeing, operations including baseline schedule development, support hours tracking, Drop In programming, financial management, food programs, program development, supports program delivery, quality control and evaluation of the Northern Lights and Drop In programs in accordance with the standards set out by the Agency.
The Program Manager provides leadership/supervision, coaching/guidance, support plans, feedback and coordination on staff performance and participant issues. This involves staffing, orientation, training, supporting, and developing employees in the delivery of programs and services. The incumbent establishes a respectful work environment, models and supports positive working relationships, adherence to Agency policies, and demonstrates high ethical standards and boundaries.
Responsibilities also include effective communication and liaison with all stakeholders, fostering teamwork and collaboration, demonstrating culturally competent service, and confidentiality as norms. Also included is advocating for participants and liaison with all stakeholders, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· 3 to 5 years’ experience Managing or Supervising in a Human Services setting.
- Experience working with Home Share/Foster Homes, Residential Care & licensing.
- Experience with programming for participants considered High Risk/high needs.
· Completion of Post-Secondary Degree, combination of Education and Experience may be considered.
· Ability to work with the Elder, Consulting Psychologist, Consulting Psychiatrist
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with the Life’s Journey Inc. Management team.
The successful candidate will be subject to a Criminal Record Search and a Child Abuse Registry Check. Applications must possess a current certification in First Aid. A current Driver’s Abstract is required.
