Kindred Spirit Program Coordinator
Location: Prince Albert, SK
Reports to: Kindred Spirit Manager
Responsibilities: The Client Program Coordinator is responsible to oversee day to day programming. They support staff with implementation of client caseloads and implementation of programming, procedures and staff roles and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in human services, supported housing, or with persons with disabilities/addictions.
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture.
- Must pass criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's Licence.
- Reliable Transportation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of community resources, supports, and other agencies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and time management abilities.
- Must be able to work flexible hours when needed;
- Must pass YWCA Security Clearance with a successful vulnerable sector and criminal background check.

Duties:
- Provide leadership and direction to staff members, in all areas, including confidentiality, positive work environment, conflict resolution.
- Maintain written and computerized records, compile reports and complete other program documents (including case notes, statistics, letters, etc.).
- Monitor spending to ensure accountability and appropriateness. Ensure spending policies are being followed and documented.
- Represent Kindred Spirit in meetings as requested.
- Be available for an "on-call" schedule.
- Provide culturally sensitive outreach, case management, counselling and other needed services to clients.
- Provide individually tailored services to each client, e.g., housing placement, independent living skills, appointment escorts, home visits, family counselling.
- Ensure critical incidents are properly documented and reported to manager.
- Provide transportation to client appointments as needed.
- Develop and coordinate the day program. Including activities and programming.
- Assist in the implementation of support plans and case-management for clients.
- Support with medication management in the absence of the supervisor.
- Uphold and maintain policy and procedures for all programs.
- Ensure apartment inspections and cleanliness of apartments are maintained & coordinate supports to assist in these areas.
- Assist with meal program as requested.
- Oversee lunges and maintain cleanliness.
- Support in delegation of day to day duties and responsibilities for staff members.
- Daily coordination with Kindred Spirit supervisor and liaison for information sharing with staff members.
- Assume responsibilities of the Supervisor in their absence;
- Other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by management to ensure the effective operation of Kindred Spirit.
