Leasing Consultant duties and responsibilities
As the main person responsible for the daily dealings of a rental property, there are many duties and responsibilities a good Leasing Consultant should be able to take on. Some of the most common duties include:
- Renewing and renegotiating lease agreements
- Ensuring tenants follow the rules and pay on time
- Resolving any issues raised by the tenants
- Ensuring proper and safe maintenance of both the inside and outside of the building
- Reviewing tenant applications and completing thorough background checks on prospective tenants
- Overseeing and maintenance or repairs that are carried out on the premises
- Creating regular reports for the landlord
- Managing the budget
