Senior Specialist, Claims

Your Impact at PLATFORM

The successful candidate will assist our Claims department with a variety of tasks. We are looking for professionals who want to join an exciting, fast paced environment with a strong learning culture and a focus on overall development.

• Manage the full claims lifecycle on behalf of PLATFORM clients, from initial reporting to file closure.
• Act as the primary claims contact for clients, ensuring timely, accurate, and proactive communication throughout the claims process.
• Independently manage complex and high‑severity claims, including major losses, litigation, and coverage disputes.
• Proactively follow up with adjusters and clients to advance claims without reliance on Account Managers or Producers.
• Prepare and present claims reports and data analyses for client reviews, renewals, and mid‑term meetings.
• Represent clients in meetings with insurers, adjusters, and third parties, including site meetings and negotiations.
• Read, interpret, and provide guidance on policy wordings and coverage positions to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Partner closely with Account Teams to develop and execute client‑specific claims strategies and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Serve as a technical resource within the claims team, providing mentorship, peer review, and process improvement input.
• Support business growth and collaboration by contributing to RFPs, client pursuits, and broader team initiatives.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial insurance claims experience, preferably within a brokerage, insurer, or independent adjusting environment
• Post‑secondary education in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
• RIBO License, and professional designation such as CIP, FCIP, or CRM preferred
• Proven ability to lead insurer and adjuster negotiations and represent clients in meetings and site visits
• Experience preparing claims reports, summaries, and presentations for clients, including renewal and mid‑term reviews

Salary Range $75,000 to $100,000
