Trade & Brand Marketing Specialist
Acting as a central point of contact between internal teams and external partners, the Specialist coordinates feedback, approvals, timelines, and execution of deliverables from concept through completion. Success in this role requires a high degree of ownership, proactive communication, and the ability to move initiatives forward independently while collaborating cross functionally.

Responsibilities:
- The Trade & Brand Marketing Specialist is responsible for the delivery of key retail and business marketing, event, and communication initiatives across the organization’s portfolio of cannabis brands and including those within our broader portfolio and affiliated entities.
- This role brings brand strategy to life in market, ensuring programs are commercially effective, creatively compelling, and operationally sound.
- Lead the delivery of retail and trade marketing initiatives that support business objectives across the organization’s portfolio of brands, including those within our broader portfolio and affiliated entities.
- Execute in store programs including POS development, display assets, promotional merchandise, and launch materials to ensure strong retail presence and brand visibility.
- Manage marketing inventory and coordinate distribution of physical assets in partnership with Shipping and Receiving to support Sales, budtenders, and retail partners.
- Develop clear executional briefs that translate brand and commercial strategy into actionable creative direction.
- Act as the central liaison across Brand, Sales, Operations, agencies, and external partners to align priorities, gather feedback, and drive projects from brief through final delivery.
- Oversee production and vendor execution for POS, promotional merchandise, and creative assets, managing budgets, timelines, and quality standards to ensure commercially effective outcomes.
- Maintain and organize the external Digital Asset Management system and internal commercial resource platforms to ensure teams and retail partners have access to current, compliant brand assets.
- Support both the strategic thinking and hands on execution of social media and community engagement initiatives, contributing creative content ideas while ensuring timely posting, active community management, performance reporting, and consistent alignment with brand voice and regulatory requirements.
- Lead coordination of events and retail activations in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including merchandising strategy, asset planning, prizing, and partner communication.
- Monitor retail performance and trade program effectiveness, identifying opportunities and providing recommendations to strengthen brand impact in market.
- Contribute to annual commercial and trade marketing planning through insights, creative ideas, and executional support.
- Assist the Brand Manager with special requests and projects that may fall outside day-to-day responsibilities but support broader commercial needs.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent hands on experience in brand, trade, or retail marketing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in brand marketing, trade marketing, retail marketing, or CPG marketing. Experience within the Canadian cannabis industry is considered a strong asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Proficiency in Canva for the creation and adaptation of marketing and trade materials; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working with Digital Asset Management platforms, marketing asset libraries, or project management tools is considered an asset.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to support retail visits, event execution, and in market activation activities.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and timelines.
- Ability to translate brand direction into effective marketing and retail execution.
- Demonstrated initiative and accountability, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross functional teams.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills to coordinate feedback and maintain alignment with internal teams, agencies, and external partners.
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
Salary range: Starting at $50,000, salary will be determined based on experience.
Status: Full-time, permanent position
