Laundry Supervisor

We are presently searching for our next talented team member as a Laundry Supervisor to join our Accommodations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

* Train and supervise the Laundry Attendant team.

* Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities within the Housekeeping department or other departments.

* Keep Laundry area in order and prioritize laundry duties for the day.

* Ensure all the Resort’s laundry is separated, cleaned, folded and stacked in a timely manner.

* Monitor quality and productions levels in an efficient manner to meet set productivity standards.

* Monitor stock levels in the Laundry room, the Lodge and the Pool Facility.

* Monitor chemicals levels and change products as needed.

* Monitor inventory levels and place order as needed.

* Oversee the operation and maintenance of laundry equipment. Report issues or repair work to the Maintenance team.

* Attend meetings to discuss operations.

* Treat stains related laundry using the chemicals provided.

* Support and embrace a team atmosphere.

* Maintain an elevated level of professionalism, providing exceptional guest service at all points of contact.

* Complete all tasks in a timely manner within an individual and multifunctional team environment.

* Maintain safe and environmentally sound work practices.

* Work towards continuous improvement and quality in all areas.

* Perform the same duties as workers supervised.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

* Minimum one year of experience in a laundry position required.

* Experience in a supervisor role an asset.

* Good physical condition, as this position is physically demanding.

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

* A passion for guest service and a proven ability to consistently anticipate guest needs.

* Team player and a self-starter, with the ability to effectively work independently as required.

* Ability to take on work and projects and see them through to completion.

* Professional in attitude and appearance.

* Well organized with excellent attention to detail.

* Ability to work within and promote an innovative and multi-tasked environment.

* Awareness of environmentally sound practices with commitment to this area.

* Must be flexible to work as business levels dictate.

* Able to handle, use and care for various machinery such as washing machines and dryers.

* Clean and valid Driver’s license an asset.

* To meet seasonal demands, you may be required to assist in other departments as needed.

This is a year-round position with an immediate start and an expected commitment of one year.
