We are searching for a Social Media Manager to join our flock and fly our business forward. This position is a fulltime contract role to cover a 1-year Parental Leave. This is a remote position which will require travel to our properties throughout BC on a monthly basis.
The Social Media Manager reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications. This role holds a key stake in the organization working to represent and drive our multi-brand experience, and is responsible for managing multi-channel social media platforms. If you love to create, plan, and execute unique ideas, you will have a key role to play in this mission!

What the Role is Quacked Up to Be?
Reporting to our Director of Marketing and Communications, the Social Media Manager is responsible for managing all our brands on social media channels. They are responsible for posting strategic and engaging content on all branded pages, collecting and reporting social media data, and optimizing content to meet goals. They are the point person for creating new branded content and working with trusted suppliers. They are also tasked with learning current trends and ensuring our channels are keeping up to pace and relevant.
In your first 3 months, you will…
- Learn about our brands, your team, and the organization. You will learn about our properties and play in our content libraries.
- Be actively posting and responding to content on all our social channels
- Report out on your social metrics and relay information to stakeholders
By month 6, you will…
- Source or create your own content for social output
- Be able to jump between brands seamlessly
- Optimize your monthly social plans based on previous reporting
What to Expect:

First Interview (45min): You will meet with Claudia our HR Business Partner to have an initial call to discuss your experience and answer your questions about Accent Inns/Hotel Zed/ROAR.
Second Interview (60min): Meet Nikisa our Director of Marketing & Communications, and Tori, our current Social Media Manager, to discuss your technical expertise, what the role will look like in the day-day, and answer more of your questions.
Final Interview (60min): Meet with Trina our VP of Marketing & Communications for a final discussion around why we are hiring this role, the value we place on it, and give you an opportunity to ask any lingering questions not already captured.
