Part Time Overnight Security Agent

Job Summary:
As an Overnight Security Agent at Canopy by Hilton Austin Downtown, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team members, and property during the overnight hours. Your professionalism and attentiveness will help create a welcoming and secure environment, aligned with our commitment to exceptional hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Property Security:

  • Patrol the hotel premises, including guest rooms, common areas, and parking facilities, to prevent and address safety hazards or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and promptly respond to alarms or emergencies.
  • Ensure all entrances, exits, and restricted areas are properly secured.

• Guest and Staff Assistance:

  • Provide a visible security presence to guests and team members, addressing their concerns with professionalism and discretion.
  • Assist guests with emergency situations, including medical needs, lost items, or security-related concerns.
  • Offer guidance and support to team members during after-hours operations.

• Emergency Response:

  • Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, and disturbances.
  • Enforce hotel policies to maintain order and guest satisfaction.
  • Document incidents and submit detailed reports to hotel management.

• Safety Protocols:

  • Conduct regular safety inspections, ensuring compliance with local laws and Hilton standards.
  • Participate in regular training sessions on safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel emergency plans and evacuation routes.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of safety and security equipment, including surveillance systems, is a plus.
• Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
