Our Material Recycling Facility in Niagara Falls, Ontario is currently searching for a certified Millwright to join our maintenance team. The Millwright will maintain equipment, trouble shoot and perform repairs and preventive maintenance.
Position Description:
- Mechanical maintenance, welding, repair and troubleshooting of all manufacturing equipment within the plant, involving, conveyor systems and motors, hydraulic units, pneumatic units, pumps rebuild and overhauls.
- Ability to read & interpret drawings & schematics. Knowledge of PLC, control systems & automated programming.
- Responding to routine breakdown and repair issues.
- Ensure high plant reliability is achieved by performing quality routine machine and plant maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication and changing oil as required in gearboxes and other equipment.
- Responding to daily work orders through FIIX, a cloud-based computerized maintenance and spare parts management system.
- Assembling machinery and equipment before installation using power tools and welding equipment.
- Responding to emergency repairs or urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours.
- Operating hoisting and lifting devices, chain falls and come-alongs on a regular basis.
- Operating all welding, oxy-acetylene cutting and burning, and plasma cutting equipment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Fully Licensed Journeyperson - A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright trade certificate for the province of Ontario (433A) or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-4 or more years of industrial experience is preferred.
- Mechanical background with the drive to further develop and learn, with a safety first and resilient attitude to multi-task and effectively execute tasks to get them done.
- Communication skills are key to being successful as you will have to communicate with a number of different internal customers and work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a background involving maintenance of a busy production line preferably or maintenance involving both mechanical and electrical machinery.

Wage: $35/hour (union position)
