We are presently looking for our next great team member as a Boathouse Attendant to join our Boathouse team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)
* Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
* Advise guests on equipment rentals (canoes, kayaks, SUP, etc).
* Ensure waivers & rental forms are completed.
* Process transactions for equipment rentals and merchandise sales.
* Provide correctly sized equipment for guests and basic instructions for use.
* Monitor the safety of guests using equipment and ensure PFDs are correctly used.
* Monitor upkeep and safety of equipment, report any issues to the supervisor.
* Perform repairs on watercraft.
* Assist the operation department with other tasks as required which may include but not limited to cleaning and maintaining parks facilities such as pit toilets, garbage bins, campsites, picnic tables, firepits communal areas, wash houses, and shower stalls.
* Other tasks as required within MPR.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
* Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Ability to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and a team player.
* Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
* Previous experience handling money.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Minimum Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract.
* Clean criminal record check.
* Available to work flexible hours; 32-40hrs per week.
* Basic First Aid Certification (8hrs) is an asset.
* Previous Boathouse/Dock experience or knowledge about Kayaks, Canoes, SUP is an asset.
* Value safe working practices.
* Fluent in English. A second language would be considered an asset
This is a Seasonal Position so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Summer season (May - September)
