Do you want to join us in helping Canadians celebrate life’s most special moments? We’re growing and looking for a Goldsmith to join our team in the Saint John area.

The Goldsmith plays a key role in delivering high-quality jewellery repair services for our customers. Working from a dedicated in-store or regional repair bench, the Goldsmith ensures all repairs are completed to company standards while supporting an exceptional customer experience. This role requires advanced technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Jewellery Repairs & Craftsmanship

  • Perform precision repairs, including ring sizing, soldering, stone setting, re-tipping, prong rebuilding, chain and clasp repairs, and restoration work.
  • Diagnose issues and assess jewellery for required repairs.
  • Work with gold, sterling silver, platinum, and gemstone-set pieces using professional techniques.
  • Polish, finish, and refurbish items to brand standards.
  • Maintain and safely operate all bench equipment and tools.

Customer Service & Collaboration

  • Partner with retail teams to review repair requests and ensure accurate work-order intake.
  • Provide expertise and recommendations to staff regarding repair feasibility, timelines, and care instructions.
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism and customer-focused service that reflects our national brand.

Operational Excellence

Manage multiple repair jobs while meeting deadlines and quality controls.

  • Ensure precise documentation of each repair using company systems.
  • Maintain strict security protocols for handling customer jewellery.
  • Follow all corporate policies and procedures related to repair services, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–5+ years of bench jewellery or goldsmithing experience, preferably in a retail or multi-store environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency in soldering, stone setting, fabrication, and general repairs.
  • Experience handling a high-volume repair workflow while maintaining exceptional quality.
  • Familiarity with national retail standards, customer expectations, and repair documentation processes.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with store teams.
  • Training from a recognized goldsmithing, jewellery arts, or trade program is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Bench located within a retail store or regional repair hub.
  • Use of torches, rotary tools, polishing equipment, ultrasonic cleaners, and precision instruments.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive bench work.
