In this role, you aren’t just a staff member; you are a coach, an advocate, and a consistent source of support for those navigating behavioral and social hurdles.What’s in it for you?
- Wage: $23.00 per hour
- Hours: Guaranteed Part-Time (20 hrs/week) PLUS a consistent temporary top-up of 10–20 additional hours per week (funded until October 2026).
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (Daytime and evening shifts to meet client needs).
- Location: Nanaimo, BC.

- Navigate & Advocate: Connect families to vital community resources and act as a fierce advocate for their best interests.
- Plan & Implement: Design evidence-based goal plans tailored to each client’s unique strengths and needs.
- Support in Crisis: Recognize and de-escalate crisis situations with empathy and professional strategy.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the Integrated Child, Youth, and Family Services team to ensure "person-centered" care.
What You Bring
- Education: A degree in Social/Human Services (or an equivalent mix of education and experience).
- Certifications: Valid First Aid/CPR (CCFL approved) and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
- The Essentials: You have a safe, reliable vehicle and are comfortable transporting clients. You thrive in fast-paced environments and can work independently when the pressure is on.
- Experience: At least 1 year in a similar social services environment; experience with crisis intervention is a major asset
