Client Program Coordinator - Homeward Bound Oakdale
Full-Time Salaried (37.5 Hours per week)
Reports to: Homeward Bound Windsor Oakdale
Responsibilities: To work closely with the clients of Homeward Bound Oakdale to provide guidance and support. The role involves developing and delivering programming focused on life skills, therapeutic interventions, recreational activities, and cultural practices. The Position will also work collaboratively with the Supervisor and Manager to support the implementation of client case plans.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's Licence with the clean abstract;
- Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges, substance use concerns, and/or cognitive disabilities;
- Maintain professional boundaries in and out of the workplace as outlined in the YWCA Code of Conduct and Ethics Agreement;
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture;
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal);
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook);
- Must pass Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Must be a positive role model of life and social skills for clientele;
- Ability to work independently;
- Good time management skills;
- Must be able to work flexible hours when needed;
- Must be available to be a part of the on-call rotation;

Basic Duties:
- Maintain written and computerized records, compile reports and complete other program documents (including case notes, statistics, letters, etc.);
- Represent Homeward Bound Oakdale in meetings as required;
- Uphold and maintain policies and procedures for Homeward Bound Oakdale;
- Case plan development, tracking and execution;
- Provide a monthly report & annual report to management ,and monthly calendar of events for clientele;
- Uphold and maintain all policies and procedures;
- Set long and short-term goals with a timeline for completion;
- Ensure all incidents are properly documented and reported to the manager;
- Provide transportation to client appointments and needed;
- Occasional work in non-traditional hours as assigned by management;
Program Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to staff members, in all areas, including maintaining confidentiality, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting conflict resolution;
- Develop and implement programming specifically geared towards clients with mental health and/or cognitive disabilities;
- Monitor spending to ensure accountability and proper use of funds;
- Liaise with community and develop partnerships with Community Program Delivery counterparts;
- Must be available for an "on-call" schedule;
- Provide culturally sensitive outreach, case management, counselling and other needed services to clients;
- Assist with meal program as requested;
- Oversee resident lounge space and maintain cleanliness and decorum;
- Support in delegation of programming duties for support staff;
- Ensure incidents are properly documented and reported to manager;
- Statistical tracking and reporting;
- Purchasing and organizing programming supplies;
- Provide transportation to client appointments as needed;
- Provide support, referrals, and advocacy for the clientele;
- Assist with meal program as requested;
- Oversee resident lounge space and maintain cleanliness and decorum;
- Support in delegation of programming duties for support staff;
- Monitor spending to ensure appropriateness;
- Daily coordination with Homeward Bound Oakdale supervisor and act as a liaison to facilitate communication and information among staff;
- Review communications board, emails and log books when coming on shift;
- Be available for the on-call rotation;
- Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management to ensure the effective operation of Homeward Bound Oakdale;
- Follow safety and security policies at all times;
All YWCA Prince Albert positions contain a three-month probationary period.
