Southern Hops Brewing in Florence, SC is searching for a dedicated, experienced, and professtional Assistant General Manager.

Our goal is for Southern Hops to be everyone’s favorite place to have quality craft beer, delicious food,

and excellent customer service! Southern Hops also strives to provide a fun and positive work

environment for our staff. From a business standpoint we try to manage revenue through keeping costs

down and sales high, which can be done through proper training and management of employees. Below

is a list of responsibilities as AGM at Southern Hops:

Leadership / Operations / Teamwork / Customer Service

 Be reliable and on time for work.

 Strive to achieve the company’s objectives and goals for our work culture, sales, training, and

managing employees.

 Follow all Southern Hops’ guidelines in the Employee Handbook and all SOPs.

 Represent Southern Hops in a positive manner outside of work.

 Report to owners Jimmy Deaton and Christian Gibson, and Operations Director Jolie Deaton.

 Work closely with assistant managers to ensure they are managing the staff up to the standard

of Southern Hops.

 Use open communication daily to empower staff to meet any goals and objectives.

 Delegate duties to managers and/or any staff to allow you to focus, prioritize, and organize the

workload for yourself and others.

 Oversee Hiring, onboarding, training staff.

 Oversee scheduling and purchasing of Front of House management.

 Monitor food and drink handling and quality.

 Assist / oversee social media content for Southern Hops.

 Comply with cash handling guidelines.

 Use all checklists provided to manage your day to include opening, closing, and shift changing.

 Follow up, follow up, follow up on managers, corrections, training, selling, etc.

 Master Toast POS

 Make on the spot decisions and support staff during busy shifts.

 Recognize employees’ contributions and successful performance.

 Administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective actions if necessary.

 Develop a rapport with guests, ensuring their experience is excellent.

 Always display a positive and professional image to the customers.

 Give responses to customers questions and follow up on their inquiries, requests, and

complaints in a timely manner.

 Correct any customer service problems promptly and kindly.

 Supports staff to ensure excellent customer service.

 Promote a congenial and productive work environment.

 Help resolve workplace conflicts.

 Partner with BOH Team leaders for optimum operation of restaurant.

 Communicating and commanding kitchen staff when necessary.

 Overseeing hosts and reservations

 Serve-Safe Certification 

 Must work at least a 40 hour work week (some weeks may require more).
