Your Role 

The Community Engagement & Signature Events Coordinator supports the work of the Signature and Community Events Team by providing administrative and event support across multiple initiatives. This role requires flexibility, strong organization, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

 

This is a full-time hybrid position that requires travel to Ronald McDonald Houses and events across Alberta. Some evening and weekend work will be required. The successful candidate is required to live in Calgary, Edmonton, or the surrounding areas.

 

Work hours may include occasional evenings and weekends to support events. Travel within Alberta is required.

Your work helps ensure our signature and community events run smoothly and deliver meaningful experiences for donors, sponsors, and participants, fueling the fundraising and engagement that keeps families close when they need healthcare. 

 

Your Key Responsibilities  

In this role, you will: 

  • Provide administrative support for signature events, including registration, payments, swag, prizing, and on-site support as needed. 

  • Support silent auctions for signature and shared party events (solicitation, organization, and uploading to the auction platform). 

  • Conduct sponsorship research, support follow-up, and assist with sponsor stewardship and event impact reporting. 

  • Monitor and manage the general Events inbox and route inquiries to the appropriate team members. 

  • Provide administrative support for community engagement initiatives (e.g., Service Clubs mailings, Corporate Challenge tracking, Birdies for Kids, and other campaigns). 

  • Support community event prospecting and engagement for Edmonton and Northern Alberta. 

  • Support shared party events and community events, including event-day support when required. 

  • Maintain accurate, current donor and event records, actions, and reports in Raiser's Edge. 

  • Contribute to additional projects and tasks as required to support the Signature and Community Events Team. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Project management experience with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including database management. 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships (internal and external). 

  • Ability to work in a results-driven, fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills. 

  • Organized, detail-oriented, accountable, and proactive. 

  • Ability to travel between locations in the Province of Alberta. 

  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract. 

  • Must provide a clear Police Information Check. 

 

Nice to Haves 

  • Post-secondary education. 

  • Experience supporting fundraising events, sponsorship administration, or donor/event databases (e.g., Raisers Edge) is an asset.
