Our Mississauga Branch has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join our team!
What You Will Do:
The Delivery Driver delivers FGI products on their designated routes while building strong relationships with customers. You will work with your branch team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:
- Deliver FGI products to customers on designated routes while building strong relationships with customers
- Load materials into the vehicle and install straps, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Check all load–related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
- Report any missing or damaged product to management and follow up
- Pick up cores and any return merchandise and tag at the branch for vendor return
- Assist inside warehouse between deliveries
- Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
- 5 years of total driving experience with no major driving infractions, combined with strong knowledge of Mississauga and surrounding areas — you know the traffic patterns, not just the roads
- Minimum 1-2 years of courier-related driving with strong customer service experience preferred, combined with a high school diploma or other equivalency certificate
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Occasionally lift up to 75 – 100lbs, sit for long periods of time, drive an FGI vehicle on roadways and highways
- Previous experience with transporting dangerous goods is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with aftermarket parts or heavy-duty parts is preferred but not required
- Occasionally required to work Saturdays and overtime to meet business demands
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer systems and standard office software
- Excellent customer service skills – Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong communication skills – Confident in delivering clear and detailed information to customers and team members.
