Why This Role?

This isn’t just a "desk job." You will be in the community, working at the heart of the family unit. We value clinical excellence and provide a collaborative environment where you can apply advanced methodologies like ABA and PBS to create real, measurable change.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Clinical Assessment: Conduct Functional Assessment Interviews and Observations to get to the "why" behind challenging behaviors.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sophisticated PBS and Safety Plans in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team (schools, psychiatrists, and CYMH).
  • Family Coaching: Act as a lead educator for caregivers, helping them understand neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD, FASD) and teaching them the skills to support their child’s unique strengths.
  • Advocacy: Navigate complex systems to reduce barriers to service, ensuring families have the resources and voice they need.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Work alongside the CYSN team and other professionals to ensure a wraparound approach to care.

What You Bring

  • Education: A Master’s Degree in Psychology or Social/Human Services is preferred. (A Bachelor’s degree with significant hands-on experience in neurodiversity will also be considered).
  • Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). BCBA Verified Course Sequence or RBT training is a major asset.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of direct service in the neurodiversity or developmental delay field, with a proven track record in behavioral intervention and caregiver coaching.
  • Resilience & Empathy: You are a master of personal boundaries, a clear communicator under pressure, and a champion for strength-based family support.
  • The Essentials: You have a reliable vehicle for daily community travel and the flexibility to meet families when they need you most
