Safety Watch (Entry Level – Start Your Career in Safety)

What the Work Looks Like

As a Safety Watch, you'll be supporting crews working on industrial sites by helping monitor conditions and ensure work is carried out safely. Responsibilities may include:

• Monitoring confined spaces and work areas
• Performing atmospheric gas testing
• Maintaining entry logs and safety documentation
• Supporting crews during maintenance work and projects
• Preparing and maintaining safety equipment

Work Environment & Schedule

• Work takes place on industrial sites in the Bonnyville region and surrounding areas.
• Schedules vary depending on project requirements and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts typically 8–12 hours.
• This position is casual (hours not guaranteed), though work demand often results in steady, regular hours/shifts.
• The role involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions and requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs or ladders, and lift equipment up to 50 lbs.

 Requirements

• Must live in Bonnyville or within daily commuting distance
• Ability to work responsibly and follow procedures on industrial sites
• Ability to meet the requirements of our Drug and Alcohol policy
• A valid driver’s license is an asset

 Safety tickets such as H2S Alive, First Aid, and Confined Space Entry and Monitor, and CSO will be required before working on site. Guidance will be provided to successful applicants.
