Summer Childcare Assistant (Brighton location)
Join our team this summer at the YMCA Child Development Centre (Brighton location)! This temporary Canada Summer Jobs opportunity is ideal for youth interested in gaining experience in early childhood education while making a positive impact in the lives of children and families.
In this role, you will:- Assist educators with play-based activities, crafts, outdoor play, and daily routines.
- Support children during transitions, meals, rest times, and group activities under educator supervision.
- Help prepare and clean program areas and learning materials.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and child well-being.
- Interest in working with young children.
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C
- Ability to participate in active indoor and outdoor programming.
- Positive attitude and commitment to inclusion and teamwork.
- Must be between 15–30 years of age and eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs program.
- Hands-on experience in a licensed child care environment.

- Monday to Friday | 7 hours/day
