Ring Crew
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a member of the Ring Crew you will be part of a crucial team to the efficient running of each horse show this season. The ring crew to ensure that the jumps are set up in the various arenas per the course designer’s direction and that during and between classes the jumps and footing in the arenas are maintained. This is essential to the safety of riders and horses at the show. All members of the Ring Crew will report directly to the Ring Crew, Team Leader. Please notes, this job requires a physically active person with the ability to lift objects over 50 lbs and keep up in a fast paced environment.
DUTIES:
Tend to assigned arena during shows
Build courses and tear down as required to meet show schedule
Assist course designers with daily course changes
Maintain jumps and rails within the arena as classes run
Help move and transport jump standards and rails between arenas and storage
Maintain and keep footing clean of manure in assigned ring
Assist Floral Decor Manager with jump décor
Ad hoc duties and collaborative work with other departments as required
Report directly to the Jump Crew, Team Leader

Summer Fort Welcome – Aug 5 to 10
Summer Fort Classic – Aug 11 to 17
Harvest Celebration – Sept 9 to 14
BCHJA Fall Finale – Sept 16 to 21
COMPENSATION:
Starting at $20 an hour
