Senior Accountant
YOUR DAILY MISSION: Keep the numbers tight, the processes tidy, and the spreadsheets drama‑free.
WHO ARE WE?
We’ve been making kick-ass coffee for over 25 years.
We’re Canada’s #1 selling whole bean coffee. All our coffee is Fairtrade and organic, roasted right in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, smack dab in the middle of nowhere.
Don’t just take our word for it - we’ve been named one of the Best Workplaces in Canada by Great Place to Work since 2015. Not to brag ... okay, maybe just a little.
WHO ARE YOU?
You’re the calm, capable force behind month‑end, reporting, audits, and everything in between: making sure our financial world stays balanced, compliant, and just a little bit cooler than the average ledger. You’re the kind of person who actually likes month‑end close. You see a messy reconciliation and think, “I can fix that”. You’re equal parts detail‑obsessed and big‑picture thinker; someone who can zoom in on an accrual and then zoom right back out to understand how it impacts the whole business.
You’re a natural go‑to for accounting questions, process improvements, and “can you sanity‑check this?” moments. You bring senior‑level confidence without the ego, and you know that great accounting is as much about communication and systems as it is about debits and credits.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You’ll own critical accounting processes from end to end - running month‑end close like a pro, keeping reconciliations tight, and making sure our numbers are accurate, compliant, and ready for prime time. You’ll guide reporting, partner with our parent company on group submissions, and make audits feel less like an interrogation and more like a well‑prepared conversation.
You’ll be the steady hand behind expense management, credit cards, banking support, tax filings, and insurance coordination; ensuring policies are followed, risks are managed, and nothing slips through the cracks. You’ll also bring a sharp eye for process improvement, helping us level up our systems, simplify workflows, and support our digital transformation efforts.
Pretty sweet, right? Let’s get into the details:

WHAT WE VALUE, AND WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Do What’s Right. It’s not always neat and tidy. It means taking care of people, the planet and the business. No posturing, no greenwashing, just grown-up conversations and real accountability.
- Think it through, talk it out, and keep it real. You listen like you mean it, speak with intention and make decisions that balance heart, smarts and long-term impact. No knee-jerk reactions here.
Never Half-Ass It. We’re on a mission to annihilate mediocrity. It’s not about burning out - it’s about showing up, caring deeply, working smart, and taking our craft seriously (but not ourselves).
- Bring the pride and the polish. You show up like you mean it – with care, craftsmanship and a little swagger in your work.
Cut the Bullshit. It’s about systems that work without waste, kindness without drama and root-cause thinking over quick fixes. No fluff, no fuss – just clarity, honesty and getting to the heart of things.
- Say what you mean, kindly. You communicate directly, respectfully and with zero passive aggressive vibes. Drama belongs in TV shows, not team meetings.
Be Remarkable. We’re not here to play it safe or follow the crowd. We’re here to break patterns, defy expectations and drop a few jaws along the way. If it’s forgettable, it’s not for us.
- Bring the magic, not the meh. You care deeply about your craft and push for excellence – not because someone’s watching, but because it matters.
Do It All With Love. Love? Buck yeah, Love! It’s our not-so-secret ingredient. We care deeply about the work we do, the people we work with, and the impact we have. That love shows up in every cup (and spreadsheet).
- Make space for joy. You believe laughter belongs at work. You bring good vibes, light moments and know that joy fuels great work.
